Description
The Texas Christian University football team is hosting the visiting Southern Methodist University at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. In attendance left to right are Doctor Abe Greines, Wilson Baugh, and Ethel Rae Cheatham. The T. C. U. Homecoming Queen is being announced on the field during halftime. Dr. Greines is the president of the Ex-Students Association. He is dressed in a tweed suit. Miss Cheatham is accepting a bouquet of flowers as she is crowned homecoming queen. She is wearing a hat, blouse with a floral design, skirt, and gloves. Mr. Baugh is her escort. He is dressed in a suit. The marching band is standing in the background at the right. Despite being down 7-6 at the half, the Frogs rallied and won the close contest 15-13. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1941.
