Description
The Texas Christian University football team is hosting the visiting Southern Methodist University at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. In the first quarter of the contest, Frog Nolan Sparks (24) broke free for a long run. He is shown being tackled by Mustang Lendon Davis (15) at the goal line. The tackle on Sparks came too late and the big West Texan's momentum carried him into the end-zone for the Frogs' first touchdown. TCU went on to win the close battle 15-13. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1941.
