Description
This box of 24 dozen big red apples was sent to the boys and girls of All Church Home on Thanksgiving Day. They were sent by the the Junior Red Cross emblems at Peter Smith School. The apples in the box are also arranged in a way where it looks like the Red Cross emblem. Standing about the box wearing paper hats with the red cross emblem are members of the Junior Red Cross council (left to right) Glenda Peacock, Jimmy Lougheed, Vincent Aguina, Alice Jane King and Anna Lee Smithson. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 1, 1941.
