Brevet Lieutenant General John A. Hulen looks over a topographical map of Luzon Island as he recalls engagements with the Filipinos during the insurrection of 1899-1901. Hulen is sitting at a desk holding a newspaper. He is sitting and peering from behind his glasses at the paper, his lips are pursing downward as if analyzing. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 6, 1942.
