    Description

The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting Rice University Owls at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. Nolan Sparks (number 24) was a consistent ground-gainer for the Frogs in the game with Owls Saturday afternoon. He is shown in the first quarter of a hard-fought battle, weaving through Owl defenders for a first down on the Texas Christian University (T. C. U.) forty-seven yard line. Sparks was eventually brought down by Owl halfback J. C. Dickson (number 46). The other Rice defenders in pursuit are Calvin McDougle (number 20), Weldon Humble (number 60), and Bob Brumley (number 30). Tough defensive play and the cold weather resulted in a scoreless tie.
