Description

A high school football game between the Masonic Home and the Paschal Panthers is being held at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. During the second quarter of the Thursday night game, blocking back Dewitt Coulter (8) ran to the end zone. He is being covered by Panther Jerry Sullivan (63). Mason Gordy Brown threw a twenty-seven yard pass and connected with Coulter for the touchdown. The score gave the Masons a 13-0 lead. Three young men are featured in the photo, in football uniforms on a grassy field with a chalked line to the right. They're wearing leather helmets and the young ma in front is carrying the ball. Coulter is wearing what appear to be tape bandages on his calves, and Sullivan, next to him, appears to have shin guards taped to his lower legs. "(Star-Telegram Photo by Tom Dillard.)"
