    Description

    The Southern Methodist University Mustangs are hosting the University of Texas Longhorns at Ownby Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The Longhorns opened the second quarter of the game with a long run. Fullback Pete Layden (31) is carrying the ball through a wide hole created by the tough Longhorn line. The play went for twenty-yards and Layden was tackled four yards shy of the end zone. The Texas blockers are Preston Flanagan (87), Noble Doss (11), Zuehl Conoly (70), and Chal Daniel (68). The Mustang defenders are Lendon Davis (15), Stanley DuVall (53), Edgar Rasor (55), Ronald Goss (80), and Clarence Booth (73). The Longhorns went on to win the game 34-0.
