    Description

The Southern Methodist University Mustangs are hosting the University of Texas Longhorns at Ownby Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Longhorn star halfback Jack Crain (44) put on a show in hostile territory. In the third quarter of the game, Longhorn passer R. L. Harkins (30) threw the ball to Mike Sweeney. Before being tackled, Sweeney lateraled the ball to Crain. Sweeney is shown on his hands and knees. Crain then swerved to the right side of the field to avoid a pocket of Mustang defenders. He raced all the defenders thirty yards to score the touchdown. The Longhorns went on to win the game 34-0. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, November 2, 1941.
