Description

Fort Worth's rejuvenated Little Theater aims to be everyman's theater. It hopes to be a democratic meeting ground for persons of every walk of life with a mutual love for the theater. The actors and workers behind the scenes have much to do with the success of a production. The Little Theater's second production of the season will be "First Lady", sophisticated drawing room comedy laid in Washington, D.C. with Gene Crotty directing. The play-reading committee is shown huddled up as they decide the season's productions. Left to right: Mrs. Tom Perkinson seated on the floor, Mrs. Frank Mills; Miss Peggy Lewis; Walker Moore, standing ; President Bill Fonville and Director Gene Crotty, kneeling on the floor. The women are wearing long coats with dresses underneath as the men wear suits. Miss Lewis and Mrs. Mills are also wearing flat-brimmed hats. Mrs. Perkinson and Miss Lewis are holding up the play books and the group appears to be smiling. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 23, 1941.
