Civilian defense training for Red Cross workers. Mrs. John H. Moyar, left, and Mrs. J. R. Neil, chairman and co-chairman of the surgical dressing program, stand next to boxes, checking the shipment. The women in Fort Worth have contributed to reaching a quota order of 153,00 surgical dressings for the U.S. Armed Forces. In time of war, machinery would not be able to cope with the demand, therefore the women of Fort Worth under the Red Cross volunteer to cut and fold bandages. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 31, 1941.
