Description
One of the busiest oil spots in the state is the Slaughter Pool. The drilling action is centered around Sundown, Texas, a small town in southwestern Hockley County. The presence of oil has brought more revenue to the county, allowing them to update local schools. Sundown High School is pictured. Two automobiles are parked in the front and a sidewalk surrounds the building. There are several trees at the far right.
