Tribute paid at the dedication of a portrait of Senator Morris Sheppard. Participants included (left to right) Colonel Edward C. Black, commanding officer of Sheppard Field at Wichita Falls; Senator Tom Connally, Mrs. Sheppard, the widow; and Major General Rush B. Lincoln. They are shown grouped around a photo of the late Senator Sheppard. The Air Corps Technical Training School was named in Sheppard's honor. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition October 18, 1941.
