One of the busiest oil spots in the state is the Slaughter Pool. The drilling action is centered around Sundown, Texas, a small town in southwestern Hockley County. John Simmons is an oil driller on the Number Four Sun-Miller. He is shown standing next to a panel of gauges, dressed in a hard hat, long-sleeve shirt, overalls, and gloves.
