Description
One of the busiest oil spots in the state is the Slaughter Pool. The drilling action is centered around Sundown, Texas, a small town in southwestern Hockley County. Splicing a line at the Sid W. Richardson Number 4 Sun-Miller, left to right, are Ray Lewis and Buck Greenlee. Mr. Lewis is wearing a hard hat, long-sleeve shirt, overalls, and gloves. Mr. Greenlee is dressed in a hard hat, button-up shirt, trousers, and gloves.
