ABSTRACT: The City of Kennedale's adoption of the strategic plan, Imagine Kennedale 2015, details several unique opportunities to heighten the City's image with regard to family living and economic development. One of the priority strategies highlighted in the plan focuses on defining the historical identity of Kennedale by recognizing and classifying existing landmarks that have historical significance to the community within a downtown historic district. The framework within the strategic plan emphasizes a community consensus for the appreciation of historic preservation in Kennedale.
