Image shows Artie Duncan, first of three women fire fighting trainees, shown at desk training to join the Fort Worth Fire Department. They have vowed to complete the 20 week training school. When they graduate they will eliminate, Fort Worth the last city in Texas without women on their firefighting force. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition July 29, 1982.
