Image shows Nellie Williams, one of the Drowning victims mothers, leaving the Dallas courtroom. Mrs. Williams has filed a wrongful death suits against the officer, each seeking $4 million dollars. in damages. The verdict on the three Limestone County Officers and their involvement in the three drownings at Lake Mexia were acquitted. The officers, Sheriff's Deputy Kenny Elliott, Reserve Deputy Kenneth Archie and Adult probation officer David Drummond were charged with negligent homicide of Carl Baker, Steven Booker and Anthony Freeman. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 18, 1982.
