Description
Mayor McCann had a big enough pair of scissors to use in opening ceremonies for the new Montgomery Wards' new merchandising and distribution center, but the ribbon actually was snipped by Charles J. Kushnell Jr., financial vice president of Chicago, right, who used a smaller, workable pair. At Mayor McCann's left is David P. Carlson, center manager. Walterene Heinmiller, who works in the center and one of the opening day hostesses, holds one end of the ribbon. The center is adjoining the Ward Retail store at 2600 W. 7th. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition March 7, 1961.
