To prevent a traffic jam R. J. Nimpher of 2024 Blandin, postal clerk, was stationed on the sidewalk in front of the main post office to take income tax returns from people who flocked to town to beat the midnight deadline. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition March 16, 1951.
