Description
Dan Poore, a steer wrestling champion from Los Angeles, California, declared champion out of a dozen cowboy performers that competed during the Southwestern Exposition Fat and Stock Show. With a total time of 21.2 seconds to flatten two steers, Poore would go on to compete later that week for the show title, against Bill Linderman of Red Lodge, Montana. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 5, 1951.
