Description
The formal dignity of "white tie and tails" for men, the swirling long skirts of evening gown and the elegance of fur wraps and orchid corsages marked the opening performance of "The Bat," presented in English by the Fort Worth Civic Opera Company at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Mrs. J. E. White, left, and her visitor from England, Miss Cicely Hill of London, chatted with Brooks Morris, violinist and orchestra conductor, before attending the opera, which was repeated. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition November 30, 1950.
