Description
Gene Vykukal, Texas tackle, sprints for the 15-yard line after taking a pass from Ben Tompkins in the Oklahoma-Texas game at Dallas. The play gained 20 yards, and set up the first Longhorn touchdown. Vykukal was made eligible on a special offense formation. Sooners in the picture are Tommy Gray (29) and Buddy Jones (33). The sooners won the game, 14-13. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition October 16, 1950.
