Description
Byron Townsend, Texas fullback, heads for the goal as two Longhorn blockers clear his path on a 15-yard scoring play in the second quarter at the Cotton Bowl. The Sooners being blocked are Tom Catlin (54) and Dean Smith (51). The Longhorns doing the blocking are Gene Vykukal (79) and Lewis "Bud" McFadin (61). Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning October 15, 1950.
