Colonel Eugene P. Seltzer, commanding the reserve 358th Infantry Regiment, affixes the fourragere, signifying the Croix de Guerre, to the epaulet of Captain James R. Shute. Rear, Lieutenant Paul J. Snelus received the Bronze Star. The wartime decorations for the two reserve officers had just recently came through.
