Mrs. Mary Warren accepted an American Legion heroism award presented to her husband, the late Police Officer James M. (Jimmy) Warren, by Police Lieutenant Ed K. Lee on behalf of the Railway Mail Post No. 477. Warren was fatally burned attempting to rescue his two daughters from their flaming home. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 22, 1950.
