Description
A massive dragline is shown as it began clearing dirt and debris from a shortcut channel which would eliminate a loop in the Trinity River near Bauerline Street. The new cut would be 35 feet deep and 200 feet wide at the bottom. Published in the morning edition, August 8, 1950.
