Description
Mrs. Weldon Cooke, of 1802 Flint, led a "home-front" battle promoting the conservation of food, especially for children. With her six-month-old daughter, Janice Lea, held in her lap, she spent most of her days making posters to remind people "to remember" that they have a job to do, urging them to join her cause against hording. Published in the evening edition. August 3, 1950.
