Private First Class Fred Smith Jr., of 501 South Adams, is show taking leave of his wife and two month old son Fred III. Photo was taken as Marines shipped out, and memorable wartime scenes were re-enacted at the T&P Passenger Station as Fort Worth Marine reservists entrained for the West Coast.
