    Two generals of Carswell Air Force Bace are shown with smiles, as they broke ground for Valley View, a 600-unit housing project for Carswell personnel. On the left, is Brigadier General C. S. Irvine, commander of Carswell and the 7th Bombardment Wing, on the right is Major General Archie Old Jr., commander of the 8th Air Force. Published in the evening edition July 29, 1950.
