Civilians turned into GI's when elements of the 49th Armored Division collected at Eagle Mountain Lake National Guard Base preparatory to leaving for two weeks training at Fort Hood. And there was the usual GI talk when Private officer J. C. Parks, 4513 Tallman, and Corporal A. M. Lamb, Village Creek, took a break. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition July 16, 1950.
