    Description

    Mrs. Paul La Grave, widow of the man who built the original ball park in 1926, being presented to crowd when rebuilt La Grave Field was formally opened and dedicated. Left is Mrs. Jake Atz, widow of manager of La Grave's famous teams of the 1920s. Web Maddox, extreme right, introduced the widows. Mayer Edgar Deen, center, and Brig. Gen. Clarence Irvine (next to Maddox), are others in front row. In background are former players Jackie Reid, Ziggy Sears, Walter Morris and Bobby Stowe. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 06, 1950.
