Air Force leaders joined civilian plane builders in taking note of the final B-36 turned out at Convair. In photo at left are, left to right, Major General Francis H. Griswold, vice commander of the Strategic Air Command at Omaha, Neb.; General Joseph T. McNarney(Ret.), Convair president; Major General David H. Baker, director of procurement and production for the Air Material Command, and Major General Thetus C. Odum, commander of the San Antonio Air Material Area. Members of the ferrying crew are in the background. Two unidentified people are sitting next to Thetus C. Odom and five are sitting next to Major General Francis H. Griswold.
