    Description

    Major Laurence M. Nickerson, left, who will pilot the last B-36 to roll off the production line at Convair, shakes hands with Gus Green, who was co-pilot of the first experimental model of the bomber on its maiden flight in 1946. Convair Flight Engineer J. D. McEachern, a member of the original crew, shakes hands with Captain Ralph H. Hulse, right, flight engineer of Nickerson's crew. The last plane will leave Fort Worth at 4:05 p. m. Saturday for Spokane. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 14, 1954.
