Pictured here is the last B-36 produced at Convair, surrounded by some of the 11,000 visitors who attended the closing ceremonies event. The bomber then left for Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Washington. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 15, 1954.
