Antonio Saldarriaga, seated, an amateur radio operator in his native Colombia, tries to establish radio contact with a friend in his hometown of Medellin, Colombia, over the rig owned by E. D. Kuykendall Junior of 7011 Baker Blvd, standing, who in the last summer contacted the South American's friend, Pepe Castillo, several times. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 16, 1954.
