Description

Outstepping among many eye-stopping elements in the 15-block-long American Legion parade up Main and down Houston were those Apache Belles, dancing every step of the two-mile route behind the Tyler Junior College Band and winning spectator applause all the way. They come from 15 East Texas towns. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition July 30, 1954.
