    Description

Grasshoppers cover up crossarms of a telephone pole on the C. W. McDonald farm four miles north of Arlington. The hoppers moved into an adjoining 75-acre field of knee high alfalfa and now there is nothing left to it but the stems, a 3,000 bale loss. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 19, 1954.
