Frank E. Lovett, A. M. Gordon and Floyd L. Smith, left to right, inspect the model of the East-West Freeway downtown section. Lovett will become freeway engineer-manager for the State Highway Department July, 1, succeeding George M. Garrett, who is retiring to become state paving engineer for the Portland Cement Association. Gordon and Smith are supervisory design engineers for the freeway program. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 29, 1954.
