Description
Sam Davis, Houston lawyer, was in Fort Worth seeking support for his candidacy for judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals. Davis is running for the post to be vacated by Judge H. N. Graves. He served out an unexpired term as criminal district attorney in Houston. He was Stephens County attorney at Breckenridge. He attended Austin College at Sherman and graduated from the University of Texas Law School. He was a veteran of World War I and II and a Stewart of First Methodist Church in Houston, member of American Legion, Farm and Ranch Club, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite and Arabia Temple Shrine in Houston. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 20, 1954.
