Scenes of the first Armed Forces Day celebration staged at Carswell Air Base were caught by Joe McAulay, Star-Telegram cameraman, as the image of K. H. Robinson, 116 South Lake, Boiler technician first class in the Naval Reserve and a veteran of six years of war duty in the Pacific, snapped to salute the passing colors. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 21, 1950.
