Description
Observing the 25th anniversary of the adoption of "Texas, Our Texas" as the official state song are, left to right, Representative Joe Pyle, who sponsored the resolution prescribing use of the song; Mrs. Charles Stephens; William J. Marsh, the song's composer, Mrs. Rush R. Brader and former State Senator Margie Neal of Carthage. Mrs. Brader and Mrs. Stephens headed the campaign which brought the song to statewide use. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 5, 1954.
