Description
General John D. Ryan, 19th Air Division commander at Carswell Air Force Base, pins the Distinguished Flying Cross on 7-year-old James D. Heath Jr. The general presented the family of Captain James D. Heath of Denton, who was killed in Korea in 1951, with four awards he had won. Mrs. Heath and her two other children, roger Lee, and Elizabeth, also attended the ceremony. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 20, 1954.
