Donald Ray Smith, son of E. C. Smith, 204 North Henderson, and patient in City-County Hospital pediatrics ward, gets a surprise package from Shari Smith, left, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Smith Jr., 3901 Frazier. Shari and other Bluebirds in her troop at B. H. Carroll School bought the gifts with proceeds of their annual candy sale and made the packages for sick children. Unpacking their box are Barbara Farris, extreme right, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Farris, 3245 Frazier, and Paula Donahue, daughter of Mrs. Geraldine Donahue, 3763 Townsend Drive. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 17, 1954.
