Mrs. R. H. Burks, left, president of the auxiliary to the Police Officers Association, made a surprise presentation of a gift and a plaque to Mrs. Edgar Deen, the mayor's wife. Mrs. Deen was made an honorary member of the auxiliary, recognized for her "many human and understanding deeds" to the department. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition April 1, 1954
