Description
The grand champion steer of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show was sold for $6,000, equaling the show record, to Sid Richardson and Amon Carter for Hotel Texas. Shown with the Angus, BPR Billy B, exhibited by the Black Post Ranch of Olathe, Kansas, are, left to right, W. R. Watt, president manager of the show; Andy Anderson, hotel manager who entered the bid, and Mrs. George Crenshaw, whose husband is Black Post Ranch herdsman. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 5, 1954.
