Description
The grand champion steer of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show, was sold for $6,000 to Sid Richardson and Amon Carter for Hotel Texas. Shown with the Aberdeen Angus, BPR Billy B, left, to right, are W. R. Watt, president-manager of the show: Andy Anderson, Hotel Texas managing director who entered the bid, and Mrs. George Crenshaw, whose husband is herdsman for the Black Post Ranch of Olathe, Kansas, exhibitors of the animal. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 6, 1954.
