    Description

    Here's the champion Hereford of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show, Perfect Zato Mixer. With the animal, left to right, are George T. Halsell, superintendent of the Hereford division; W. R. Watt, president of the show; Herman R. Purdy of Ohio State University at Columbus, who judged the breeding classes of Herefords; Douglas Gay, Pine Grove, Kentucky, president of the American Hereford Association, and Doug Davis of Loveland, Colorado, owner of the champion bull. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 2, 1954.
