Description
Lamesa in Dawson County has done well with it's cotton season and can do it again. But this year, with deficient rainfall the county can count on only about 12,000 bales from irrigated acreage. In spite of the decrease in country cash, the town is far from being out of business. Shown is one of Lamesa's two banks, Lamesa National. Bankers and merchants insist that at least half of the county's 1,250 farmers are able to finance themselves until they make another crop.
