Detective Joe Johnston, left, and Officer E. R. Stewart try to comfort Thomas E. Boggs, 27, as he sobs on the bed of his hotel room. Stewart pulled Boggs inside the room after the man had kept a precarious perch on a third story ledge of the Seibold Hotel for 15 minutes Wednesday night.
