Description
Mrs. Alfred McKnight called the table pictured, which she designed for the recent Mary Daggett Lake Day program at the Garden Center. An old cattle branding iron, transformed into a candlestick and a pressed glass spoonholder are used for the centerpiece, the spoonholder filled with a bouquet of celery stalks, fresh onions, broccoli and wildflowers. A handwoven red and white coverlet is used for the cloth, and dishes are old ironstone. Water goblets also are antiques.
